Everything feels faster, cleaner, and more in tune with how coaches and administrators actually use the platform.

New in Commit: Universal Add Button

What is the universal add button?
It's pretty simple - this new button allows you to create "things" from any screen.
Why did we build this feature?
We are always looking for ways to improve the Commit Swimming product. As we've grown in our feature-set, it became clear that users would benefit from a button like this to create a variety of different things within Commit from any screen. It speeds up coach and team admin workflows.

New in Commit: Workout View Redesign
Commit's new workout writing design is simple to use for coaches. The look and feel are more intuitive than before, allowing all of the same functionality + an even better experience for favorite sets, workout notes, and attendance taking.

What is the workout view redesign?
It's pretty simple - our workout writing feature now looks more beautiful :) (in our opinion of course).
Why did we build this feature?
We are redesigning every feature inside Commit 1 by 1. We had a few changes we wanted to make to some workout writing features that we made alongside this redesign. We added the ability to have attachments on workout notes, mark swimmers "excused" on attendance, search for favorite sets, and more!

New in Commit: Workouts Full Text Search
Search through your entire workout history by just typing! Commit's new full-text workout search makes finding what you're looking for super simple.

What is workouts full-text search?
Commit has always had a way for coaches to filter workouts and search them by name. However, now we added full-text search to your workouts history. This means you can search through past workouts you wrote using any words you think are in the workout you're looking for. You also can search for subgroup specific workouts using our "#" search feature.
Why did we build this feature?
As coaches have been using Commit now for a decade, there is more of a need now than ever to allow users to search through their own workout history in a fluid way. This new search feature combined with filtering workouts down by date, group, or coach creator, allows coaches to find what they need quickly.

New in Commit: Attendance Improvements
New in Commit - you can now do more with attendance. Coaches with large groups can search for swimmers, pull up swimmers from other groups who might be attending today's workout, and mark swimmers "excused" from practice directly on the workout itself.

Key Enhancements to Attendance in Commit Swimming
1. Search through swimmers
No need for scrolling through a list of 50+ swimmers to find the one you're looking for. Just start typing their name and filter down the list.
2. View other groups' swimmers
Sometimes schedules change and a swimmer from a different group attends your workout. Instead of having to go into that swimmer's profile to mark them present for this workout, you can do it directly on the workout itself.
3. Mark swimmers "excused"
You can now mark a swimmer "excused" directly from the workout attendance taking screen as well.

New in Commit: Meet Entries Experience
New improvements to Commit Swimming's meet entry process makes entries simpler and faster for coaches to do.

What are the meet entry experience improvements?
Overall, our meet entry process is simpler and faster for coaches to use. Once you start doing entries, your view now becomes full-screen so you can focus on that entry process. We added "next" and "back" arrows when toggling through swimmers, increased speed when adding and removing swimmers from events, and improved our search and filtering for your swimmers list..
Why did we improve this feature?
Meet entries is one of the more intensely used workflows within Commit and we wanted to spend some time focusing on improving the user experience for coaches.

New in Commit: Notes Improvements
Commit Swimming has just rolled out a powerful upgrade to its notes feature, providing coaches and swimmers with greater flexibility, improved visibility controls, and enriched content options. Key Enhancements to Notes in Commit Swimming
1. Multiple Notes per Workout
Gone are the days of being limited to a single note per workout. Now, coaches and swimmers can add multiple notes to a workout, making it easier to organize feedback, strategy, and key takeaways throughout a session.
2. Granular Visibility Controls
Commit Swimming now offers more refined controls over who can see your notes:
- Just You: Maintain a private training journal by keeping notes visible only to yourself.
- Just Coaches on That Workout: Share notes exclusively with fellow coaches to discuss strategies and athlete progress.
- Everyone (Coaches and Swimmers): Make notes accessible to all, including swimmers, to provide them with guidance, motivation, and important takeaways.
3. Swimmer-Friendly Features
Swimmers can continue writing their own private notes, just like a workout journal. However, they can now also view notes that coaches mark as "for everyone." This means swimmers can receive direct feedback, strategy insights, and additional resources right within their workout logs.
4. Attach Photos, Videos and Links
Notes are now more than just text! Commit Swimming supports:
- Rich text formatting for clearer, more structured notes.
- Links to external resources for further learning.
- Attachments including images, videos, and documents.
- Capture a whiteboard with workout details or target times.
- Upload a video of a key drill for swimmers or coaches to review.
- Share PDFs of pacing charts or other critical training materials.
Make the switch to Commit today
You work too hard to be stuck with outdated, clunky swim team management software. Switching does take time and effort but we do the heavy lifting for you. Our onboarding team helps you bring over your roster, family contact information, results history, and website content to Commit.
