New in Commit: Parent Push Notifications

Parent Push Notifications

When a message gets sent from Commit to members of a swim club, users who have the Commit Swimming app installed and are logged in, will get a push notification to their device. The push notification will state that there is a new message from your team and also give them the subject of the message. When the team member taps the notification it will open the browser on their phone and display the message from the club.

Why add push notifications?

Before this new push notification feature, the fastest ways for clubs to get their members information was through email. Push notifications allows teams to message their members about urgent matters faster and more effectively. Teams and parents have also been asking for push or sms capability.

How do you use push notifications in Commit?

ONE - Parent or team member downloads the Commit mobile app

TWO - The parent agrees to accept push notifications from Commit

THREE - The coach or team leader sends a message to the club or group

Four - The parent receives a push notification letting them know there's a new message!
